Window Blind Shopping

I went three places over the weekend looking for blinds for a new home. I could not believe how expensive everything was. I also was pretty surprised by the amount of options out there. The cheapest blinds are obviously the metal mini blinds but I plan on being in this house a while so for me that was not an option. Blinds to go ended up having the best deal on faux wood blinds. I would love authentic wood blinds but they are just too expensive. I am really glad we do not have huge over sized windows or I would never been able to afford them. The faux wood blinds are really nice and they look very much like the real thing and I doubt anyone will ever be able to tell the difference.

Writing Down What MPG a Car Gets May Seal Purchase

Shopping online for a new or used car may have people writing down the websites of the vehicles they like.  Also being written down or printed out are the specs for each car, truck or SUV so that they shopper can see on paper what they could be getting with that purchase.

Of course there is no substitute for seeing the vehicle in person and test driving it.  However there may be one thing that the shopper writes down that may stop them from purchasing the vehicle and that is the mileage per car.  When looking at all the information the cars that have the better fuel economies are usually the ones that will be written down to be purchased.

Feeling Good in December

For those keeping score, I am feeling much better so far this month.  I was feeling quite down and overwhelmed last month, but November is always like that for me.  Things however have really been falling into place.  I can’t put my finger on exactly what brought about the change, because I did so many things at once. 

Physically: I started eating better and had a colon cleanse.  Spiritually: I watched The Secret and realigned myself with my greater consciousness.  Mentally: I purchased an herbal anti-depressant called Vilift.  By improving all three areas of my being at once I feel I kept myself in balance while I was expanding.  The other element of course is that November ended and  December began.  I love the holiday season and that always makes me feel cheerier.  Hopefully I can keep my anxiety under control while I finish my shopping and finalize our visiting schedule.

Should I Use FrontPage For This?

I’ve been wanting to have a more personal look rather than the stock theme look I have now on this blog right now. I just want something that reflects me and who I am better.

I have a copy for Frontpage that I ‘borrowed’ from work and I downloaded a free FrontPage template that I want to use as a basis for my redesign. I’m learning how to use it right now but it isn’t particularly easy for me. I understand how to use Microsoft Word but this is somewhat different and there are things I don’t understand. That HTML code looks quite scary to me.

What I wanted to see if anyone knows is if using FrontPage is a good way to build a theme for WordPress. I know it isn’t an exact match but I think I can figure out how to put the pieces together if I try. If anyone who stops by to read this knows if this is a good way to do it, let me know one way or the other. Otherwise, I’ll continue to plug along at it.

There is so Much You Can do Online Nowadays

I am finding there are more and more things I can do online that I used to dread having to go out and do in the real world.  One is shopping, especially Christmas shopping.  I am attempting to buy all of my gifts this year strictly online.  I am giving myself lots of time to allow for shipping, so I have started early.  But I am looking extremely forward to avoiding the crowds and the long lines at the malls.

The other thing that I hate is going to the bank.  Whether it is just to do banking or applying for credit I don’t like going into that place.  The teller lines are long and slow moving, and don’t get me started on the loans officers.  I can’t stand the scrutiny and I have a fear of rejection.  So one of the things I did when preparing for my Christmas shopping was to try and get an instant online credit card approval.  It was so slick.  I was declined, but the point is there was no snooty banker making me feel bad about myself.  It was very cold and impersonal, just like I like it.  Merry Christmas.

I’m already tired of the cold

That’s right, I know. I don’t know why I live here. I don’t like the snow and I don’t like being cold and I’ve already been cold enough this winter. My mind keeps drifting and dreaming of getting in some great key west tarpon fishing this upcoming season. But the best part about it is that we don’t just catch tarpon, when we go down to Key West, it’s time to relax.

But not too much as there is just way to much fishing to do. The area is so great, you can go to either side of the islands and simply just fish for basically any type of species there is. Hit the reefs for some great and I do mean great grouper action. Permit, if you’ve never caught one you simply won’t find a better fish that will test your limits outside of tarpon. Sharks galore! See there, I’m already feeling warmer just talking about it.

Things You Can Do At Big Bear

The Big Bear Lodge is the perfect place to take your family to or your spouse and even a friend you just want to hang out with.  It offers almost anything you can think that you want to do while you are staying there. 

Skiing is always my favorite activity to do at the big bear lodge and there is so much to do like shopping, restaurants and cool places you can see.  The people are very friendly and I always feel right at home when I get there.  It doesn?t matter if I stay for a long period of time or a shorter one this place is defiantly at the top places on my list of best places to go on vacation.
